About byte.
Why is byte free?
Byte is free because the idea behind it is to allow anyone to store big files online.
Are my files secure?
The files, once uploaded, can be downloaded by any person who has access to the generated link.
Who is behind byte?
Byte was created by Daniel.
What are the limits?
The only limit is 15GB/file
What is the maximum storage?
The possibility that the storage space will run out is small, but still if this happens, the team will upgrade the storage in a short time.
What data do byte store?
The only thing we store is the ip address of the people who upload files to perform statistical data, such as in which areas our site is used and how many unique users we have.
Do you send data to third parties?
The only thing we send to third parties are the stored files, because they are not stored on our servers.
Where do we store the files?
At the moment, we store all files on ipfs and filecoin.
Can administrators delete files?
No, not even the site administrators can delete the files, they are permanently stored. But there is a possibility that certain files may be deleted by certain third parties if they can damage the servers.
How do we make money?
At the moment we do this for pleasure, but in the future we will be able to add some unobtrusive advertisements to ensure the costs of the infrastructure.
